Diginuvo’s Presence Server Platform allows mobile operators to launch services with the ability to determine presence information of subscribers and use it to boost ARPU, create differentiated service, and optimize network usage. Unanswered calls overload the network, and produce no revenue for the operator. Knowing a person’s location and status (online, offline, busy etc.) in advance eliminates the need for a voice call when the only reason for calling is to find out that very information. Additionally, knowing someone’s mood and activity helps determine which method of communication (IM, text message, voice call), if any, is most appropriate. More information about all parties in a group communication allows selecting not only the mode of communication and a convenient time, it also helps to decide the type of content that may be suitable at that given time. Using Diginuvo’s Presence Server, operators can offer inexpensive SMS-based callback services where if a person does not answer a call, the platform detects when he/she becomes available and sends a text message to the caller informing that the called party is off the phone. Such offerings increase call completion rate and ARPU, without requiring a significant network overhaul. The Presence Server can be seamlessly integrated with third-party IMPS gateways, which allows operators to offer enhanced Mobile IM services tied to other presence-enabled applications, such as PTT or contact list. The platform provides presence policy, presence attributes, user authentication and authorization, group management and list management capabilities. The Presence Server offers a number of standard interfaces, including, Web Services and OSA/Parlay, and also an SDK that allows developers to extend the functionality of the platform.
