Diginuvo’s Personalized Services platform in the video services market provides an end-to-end solution comprising a TV portal website for user profiling and content selection, an ETV/EBIF compliant set-top box application for ITV enhancements and targeted advertisement, and a data mining tool for reporting and analytics. The TV portal offers themed program guides (e.g. comedy, music, sports) which are pre-configured or user customizable, and can be delivered in HTML or WML format with preferred viewing times, genre, programs and channels that can be fine-tuned for each family member. The portal also learns about user’s viewing preferences over time, and uses that information to automatically construct TV guides that better match the viewing tastes. The EBIF agent enables advertisers to reach a targeted audience with interactive campaigns such as voting/polling, RFI, telescoping, microsites and T-commerce that are based on their personal preferences. The data mining tool is a hosted back-office solution that delivers comprehensive audience measurement capability through data collected from set-top boxes, which supports key business decisions such as ad pricing,subscription tier management, diagnostics, network planning, and most importantly, the interests and needs of the subscribers.
