Blended Services

In recent years, the evolution from circuit-switched to packet-switched network has significantly eroded traditional barriers between voice, video and data networks. With users now expecting every service to be available on multiple devices via a single broadband connection and the ability to seamlessly transfer them between multiple devices during a session with simultaneous use of voice, video and data features in one session, all the players in the industry are compelled to re-think the fundamentals of their businesses. The underlying infrastructure for these services depends on the successful deployment of IP-Multimedia Subsystems (IMS) architectures, which is finally happening in several markets and allowing the service providers to launch innovative value-added services never possible before.   • Order VOD services from their mobile phones or watch streaming video that they have ordered as a video package for both home and mobile phone.

  • Transfer broadcast TV or VOD content to Mobile TV for seamless roaming between home and cellular network without any service interruption.

  • Transfer a mobile VoIP call to cellular network, and then change it to a PTT session, all the while maintaining full call context and billing information.
